Teaching Assistant

Location: Birmingham

Start Date: Immediate Start

Salary: £95 - £115 per day

Are you a resilient Teaching Assistant with experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs?

Are you confident supporting children and young people with Education, Health and Care Plans / EHCPs?

Do you have the patience and adaptability to work with both primary and secondary-aged pupils in a specialist SEND environment?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a special school in the B36 area of Birmingham supporting primary and secondary-aged pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs. The school provides a structured and supportive environment for pupils with EHCPs, helping them overcome barriers to learning and develop their confidence and independence.

The school is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant for day-to-day roles with the potential to develop into a long-term position. The successful Teaching Assistant will support pupils across primary and secondary age groups, assist with learning and behaviour management, and follow individual EHCP strategies to provide consistent support.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND

• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs

• Experience working with or following EHCPs

• Strong behaviour management skills

• Confidence working across primary and secondary age groups

• A patient, resilient and proactive approach
