The Supply Register is proud to be working in partnership with Our Lady and All Saints Catholic Multi Academy Company (OLAAS CMAC) to recruit a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant for St Andrew's Catholic Primary School.

This rewarding full-time role involves providing dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil in Year 2 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The school is looking for a patient, nurturing and proactive individual who can build positive relationships and help the child access learning, develop confidence, and thrive within the classroom environment.

The Role

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide dedicated support to a pupil with ASD in a Year 2 classroom
• Assist the child in accessing learning activities and following classroom routines
• Support the pupil's social, emotional, and academic development
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored support strategies
• Encourage independence while providing appropriate guidance and reassurance
• Monitor progress and contribute to the child's ongoing development
• Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience working with children with ASD or additional needs is desirable
• Experience within a Primary School setting is advantageous
• A patient, caring and resilient approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team
• Commitment to supporting children's learning, wellbeing and development
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
