Location: Coventry
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000
Job Type: Full-time

We are looking for an experienced Working Foreman to join an established and growing civil engineering team, 2 years work in Coventry initially.

The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience within civils and groundworks, with the ability to lead a site team while remaining actively involved in the day-to-day works.

You will be responsible for overseeing groundworks and civil engineering activities on site, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing daily site operations and allocating labour effectively.

• Reading and working from drawings and specifications.

• Ensuring works are completed to programme and required standards.

• Liaising with site management, engineers and subcontractors.

• Maintaining high standards of health and safety on site.

• Carrying out quality checks and resolving issues as they arise.

• Leading by example and being prepared to get hands-on when required.

We are looking for someone with:

• Extensive experience in civil engineering and groundworks.

• Proven experience as a Foreman, Working Foreman, Site Supervisor or similar.

• Strong knowledge of groundworks, drainage, concrete, foundations, utilities and associated civils.

• The ability to read drawings and understand construction specifications.

• Good leadership and communication skills.

• A strong understanding of health & safety requirements.

• A practical, hands-on approach with the ability to work as part of a team.

• A reliable and professional attitude.

This is a hands-on role, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable leading from the front and has a genuine understanding of groundworks and civil engineering gained through practical site experience.
