Coventry | Up to £40,000

Are you an experienced Credit Controller looking for a role where you can have genuine ownership and make a visible impact? We're recruiting for an exciting opportunity within a growing business that's looking to strengthen its finance team with a commercially minded credit professional.

This isn't just a collections role. You'll be at the heart of managing customer relationships, reducing financial risk, improving cash flow, and supporting business growth. Working closely with teams across the organisation, you'll have the opportunity to influence decisions, drive process improvements, and take ownership of key accounts from start to finish.

• Managing customer accounts and maintaining strong working relationships to ensure prompt payment.
• Monitoring outstanding balances and proactively reducing overdue debt.
• Reviewing customer creditworthiness and helping determine appropriate credit limits and payment terms.
• Resolving invoice queries, disputes, and payment discrepancies efficiently.
• Producing and analysing aged debt reports to identify risks and opportunities.
• Supporting cash flow forecasting through accurate payment tracking and reporting.
• Working collaboratively with internal departments to resolve issues affecting customer payments.
• Assisting with rebate administration, credit insurance processes, and customer account maintenance.
• Identifying opportunities to enhance existing processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Supporting month-end activities and wider finance team objectives when required.

• Proven experience within Credit Control or Accounts Receivable.
• Strong understanding of credit risk, collections, and debtor management.
• Confident communicator with excellent relationship-building skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good Excel and finance system experience.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple accounts effectively.
• A proactive approach and desire to continuously improve processes.
