Job Description:

• Start date: 1st September 2026
• End date: October half-term initially (possibility to extend)
• Full-time role: Monday-Friday
• Teaching all sciences at KS3 and KS4

We are working in partnership with an Ofsted 'Good' 11-18 secondary school in Hinckley who are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher. This is a full-time job to start as soon as possible to provide long-term temporary cover. Due to this being a long-term job, full teaching responsibilities will be required, including planning and marking.

Job Description

• Delivering engaging and creative Science lessons.
• Planning and preparing schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments.
• Monitoring student progress and providing feedback.
• Contributing to the development of the department's curriculum.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ECT's welcome to apply.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
• Recent experience teaching Science at secondary school level (KS3 and KS4)
• Strong behaviour/classroom management.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members
