Creideas is recruiting for an exciting new Sales Manager opportunity with a Leicestershire based Civil Engineering client. My client is looking for an experienced Sales Manager to manage their Contractor and Merchant Sales Team to help drive regional growth.
 
The Role:
As Sales Manager, you will lead the Contractor and Merchant Sales teams, taking ownership of CRM management and optimisation across a diverse product portfolio. A key focus will be building and strengthening strategic relationships with key merchants and major contractors to drive account growth and customer loyalty. You will oversee team performance, sales forecasting, project pricing, market trends, customer feedback and credit management, while ensuring GP targets are consistently achieved across both departments.

Key Responsibilities:
 

• Drive departmental GP targets through effective pipeline forecasting and financial management.
• Own and optimise CRM systems, ensuring accurate data and performance tracking.
• Develop strategic relationships with key merchants and contractors to maximise account growth and retention.
• Manage project pricing and market trends to maintain competitiveness and profitability.
• Oversee customer feedback, credit approvals and customer service standards.
• Lead, develop and motivate internal and external sales teams, setting clear KPIs and objectives.
• Monitor sales performance through ERP reporting, quote conversions and monthly reviews.
• Ensure strong technical support and consistent delivery of excellent customer service.

 
 
 Working pattern:
This is a hybrid role working Monday to Thursday 8.15am-4.30pm and Friday 8.15am-4.00pm.
 
 
The individual
My client is looking for someone with:-

• Proven track history in sales management, within contractor or merchant channels ideally within Construction, Civil Engineering or Heavy Building Materials sector.
• Drive GP targets through effective sales forecasting and pipeline management.
• Own and optimise CRM systems and sales reporting.
• Build and grow strategic relationships with key merchants and contractors.
• Oversee project pricing, profitability and market trends.
• Manage customer feedback, credit approvals and service standards.
• Lead and develop internal and external sales teams, driving performance and accountability.
• Ensure strong technical support and excellent customer service.
