Are you an ambitious Internal Sales Executive, Telesales Executive or Sales Advisor who enjoys building relationships, converting opportunities and speaking with customers?

Do you have the communication skills, commercial instinct and persistence to turn enquiries and existing opportunities into sales?

If so, this could be an excellent opportunity to join an established technology manufacturer specialising in security and safety products designed to protect and save lives.

Based in state-of-the-art offices in central Coventry, this is a newly created position offering the opportunity to play a key role in maximising sales from both new and existing customer opportunities.

You will work closely with the wider sales team, proactively following up warm leads, quotations and appointments, developing new opportunities and ensuring customers receive a professional and seamless experience throughout the sales process.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Proactively following up post-appointment sales opportunities and converting prospects into customers.
• Following up quotation requests and identifying opportunities to generate additional business.
• Developing relationships with new and existing customers via telephone and other communication channels.
• Providing a consistently high level of customer service and ensuring a positive customer journey.
• Managing and updating the CRM system, ensuring all customer and sales activity is accurately recorded.
• Providing timely and accurate quotations to customers.
• Processing sales amendments and changes efficiently and in line with company procedures.
• Handling incoming telephone enquiries and identifying the appropriate next steps.
• Managing customer queries and complaints professionally, escalating where appropriate.
• Working closely with the Sales Manager and wider sales team to maximise opportunities.
• Keeping relevant internal departments updated on customer communications and requirements.
• Maintaining accurate daily sales activity and performance information.
• Qualifying and directing leads to the appropriate sales personnel.
• Contributing ideas and feedback to continually improve the sales process and customer experience.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is commercially minded, confident on the telephone and motivated by achieving results.
Ideally, you will have:

• Around 2 years' experience in Internal Sales, Telesales, Sales Support, Customer Sales or a similar role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A natural ability to build rapport and establish strong customer relationships.
• Confidence communicating with customers by telephone.
• A proactive and persistent approach to following up opportunities.
• A genuine desire to achieve and exceed sales targets.
• Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
• Experience using a CRM system and maintaining accurate customer records.
• Good attention to detail and a structured approach to administration.
• The ability to work collaboratively within a wider sales team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to deal with customer queries effectively.
