The Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of a Trust seeking an experienced Interim Headteacher to provide immediate leadership support within one of their primary schools in Earl Shilton, Leicestershire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proven primary school leader to make a positive impact during a key period for the school. The successful candidate will provide strong, visible leadership, ensuring stability, continuity and confidence across the school community.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the school.
• Provide clear strategic and operational leadership.
• Build positive relationships with staff, pupils, parents and governors.
• Maintain high standards of teaching, learning and pupil outcomes.
• Identify priorities quickly and implement effective actions.
• Work collaboratively with Trust leaders and central support teams.
• Provide reassurance and stability throughout the interim period.

About You

We are looking for an experienced education leader who:

• Has proven experience as a Primary Headteacher.
• Has held substantive Headship positions and/or successfully completed interim headship assignments.
• Is a confident, approachable and highly visible leader.
• Can quickly assess a school's needs and priorities.
• Has a strong track record of school leadership and improvement.
• Can inspire confidence and build strong relationships across the school community.

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Significant Primary Headship experience.
• Enhanced DBS Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.
