Information Manager

Solihull | Tier 1 Main Contractor | Permanent

We’re working with a leading Tier 1 construction company who are looking to bring an experienced Information Manager into their regional team, based out of Solihull, this is based out of the office 5 days a week.

This is a key role within the project team, responsible for managing project information, maintaining the Common Data Environment (CDE) and ensuring documentation is controlled, traceable and compliant throughout the project lifecycle.

The Role

You’ll be the go-to person on the project for all things Information Management, working closely with the project team, design teams, subcontractors and client.

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing and maintaining the project CDE
• Administering ASITE and managing user access
• Ensuring document numbering, naming and workflows are correctly followed
• Monitoring document submissions, reviews and approvals
• Maintaining project information structures and processes
• Supporting the development and maintenance of the Information Management Protocol
• Managing IMR, TIDP and MIDP requirements
• Producing reports and monitoring information performance
• Training and supporting project teams and supply chain partners
• Driving compliance with project information management procedures
• Supporting project mobilisation and CDE set-up
• Ensuring information is properly controlled from project start through to handover
• Working alongside BIM, Design, Commercial, Planning and Operations teams

About You

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Experience working for a main contractor, ideally Tier 1
• Previous construction site-based Information Management experience
• Strong knowledge and practical application of ISO 19650
• Good working knowledge of ASITE
• Experience managing a project CDE and information workflows
• Strong IT skills, particularly MS Office 365
• Ideally exposure to platforms such as 4Projects, Viewpoint/Conject, Aconex, Dalux, Navisworks or BIMcollab
• A valid CSCS card
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• The confidence to challenge processes and drive compliance
• A collaborative approach and the ability to build strong relationships across project teams and supply chain

This would suit an experienced Information Manager, Document Controller with strong Information Management experience, or Digital Information professional looking to take the next step with a major Tier 1 contractor.

Based in Solihull with regional/site-based responsibilities.
