Independent Domestic Violence Advocate ( IDVA )

Location: Warwickshire
Salary: £15.50 - £19 pounds an hour (dependent on pay status and experience.) 
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 4:30pm
Contract: Temporary, minimum 3 months
Working Pattern: Hybrid - up to 2 days working from home

Supporting Futures are recruiting for an experienced IDVA to join a specialist domestic abuse service in Warwickshire.

The role involves managing a caseload of approximately 30, predominantly high-risk survivors, providing specialist domestic abuse support, risk assessment, safety planning, advocacy and safeguarding.

• Manage a complex caseload of approximately 30 clients.
• Complete risk and needs assessments and safety planning.
• Provide specialist advocacy and support.
• Work closely with Police, Housing, Children's Services and other partner agencies.
• Attend and contribute to MARAC meetings.
• Support clients with court proceedings where required.
• Maintain regular contact with clients, including at least fortnightly engagement.

• Previous experience as an IDVA or Domestic Abuse Practitioner.
• Experience managing a busy and complex caseload.
• Strong understanding of domestic abuse, risk and safeguarding.
• Excellent communication, organisation and prioritisation skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or issued within the last 12 months.
• Able to work independently and as part of a multi-agency team
