Stridden Limited are recruiting for an experienced Skilled Groundworker with Dumper tickets for a commercial construction project in Coventry.

Location: Coventry, West Midlands
Rate: £22.00 per hour
Hours Paid per Day: Minimum 9 hours
Saturday Work: Available
Start: ASAP

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Groundworker who holds a valid Forward Tipping Dumper ticket to join a commercial construction project in Coventry.

The project is currently at an early stage, so there is a good amount of work ahead. We need someone with strong all-round groundworks experience who is confident working across the different stages of a commercial project as works progress.

This is not solely a Dumper Driver position. You must be a skilled Groundworker who is happy to carry out groundworks duties throughout the day and operate the dumper as and when required.

Previous commercial groundworks experience is essential.

Key Duties

Duties will include:

• General groundworks
• Drainage and associated works
• Excavation and groundwork preparation
• Kerbing and edging
• Concreting
• Preparing areas for foundations and external works
• Operating a Forward Tipping Dumper when required
• Moving materials around site
• Assisting with site preparation during the early stages of the project
• Working alongside other Groundworkers and plant operators
• Following site RAMS and Health & Safety procedures
• Maintaining safe and tidy working areas
• Carrying out additional groundworks duties as the project progresses

Requirements

Applicants must have:

• Valid CSCS card
• Valid CPCS or NPORS Forward Tipping Dumper ticket
• Strong previous Groundworker experience
• Commercial construction experience – essential
• Good all-round groundworks knowledge
• Confidence operating a Forward Tipping Dumper
• Full PPE
• Recent relevant references
• Reliable and able to work as part of an experienced site team

You must be a skilled Groundworker first and foremost – this is not a position for someone looking to sit on the dumper all day.

Hours & Pay

• £22.00 per hour
• Minimum 9 hours paid per day
• Saturday shifts available
• Additional earning potential for candidates wanting to work Saturdays
