Looking for an English teaching role in a supportive secondary school environment?
Smile Education is working with a welcoming college in Solihull seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join from September 2026. The successful candidate will teach English across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and inspiring lessons that develop students' reading, writing, and communication skills.
This role would suit an experienced teacher, ECT, or a teacher returning to the classroom looking for a positive and supportive working environment.
🏫 The Role

• Teach English across KS3–KS4
• Deliver engaging lessons in English Language and Literature
• Inspire students to develop strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
• Support student progress and prepare pupils for GCSE examinations
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
• Work collaboratively within the wider English department

✅ What We’re Looking For

• QTS / QTLS/ DET or equivalent teaching qualification
• Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Excellent subject knowledge in English Language and Literature
• Enthusiastic, reliable, and adaptable approach
