# Data Analyst – Children's Services

Location: Solihull, West Midlands Pay Rate: £19.81 per hour PAYE Contract: 3 months initially Start Date: ASAP

LYNX Employment Services are recruiting an experienced Data Analyst to support Children's Services, specifically within the Youth Justice, Exploitation and Missing Services. This temporary opportunity will focus on maintaining existing Power BI dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and producing performance reports to support operational decision-making.

We are particularly interested in candidates with previous experience in local government, Children's Services, social care or similar public sector environments.

## Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, update and improve existing Power BI dashboards and reporting tools.
• Analyse data from ChildView and Liquidlogic systems, ensuring accurate reporting across integrated platforms.
• Produce monthly performance reports and potentially quarterly reports from January onwards.
• Monitor and report on caseloads, practitioner workloads, waiting lists and workforce allocations.
• Identify trends, discrepancies and areas for improvement within operational data.
• Support statutory reporting, performance monitoring and management information requirements.
• Work with operational teams and senior managers to ensure reliable, accessible performance information.
• Maintain data quality, confidentiality and compliance with data protection requirements.

## Essential Requirements

Proven professional experience as a Data Analyst, ideally within a complex service environment. Strong Power BI skills, including dashboard maintenance, data visualisation and reporting. Advanced analytical skills, including experience working with large datasets. Experience working with integrated data systems and understanding data flows between platforms. Strong Excel skills and the ability to interpret complex operational performance information. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently to reporting deadlines.

## Desirable Experience

Previous employment within local government, Children's Services, Youth Justice or social care. Familiarity with ChildView, Liquidlogic or similar case management systems. Experience reporting on caseloads, waiting lists, resource allocation and service performance. Knowledge of statutory returns, performance indicators and public sector reporting requirements. Experience with SQL or other analytical tools.
