Job Description:

Experienced and professional Commercial Gas Engineer required to work with a leading and highly reputable organisation.

My client requires an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join their maintenance team, carrying out installation, maintenance and reactive repair works across commercial properties in Coventry.

Location: Coventry

Pay: £35.00 per hour (Umbrella or CIS)

Hours: Full-time

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Ongoing

Commercial Gas Engineer

• Carry out installation and maintenance works across heating, ventilation, HVAC, commercial appliances and heat pump systems.
• Install, modify and maintain associated pipework, components and fittings.
• Conduct combustion system evaluations to ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and operational standards.
• Monitor and evaluate combustion processes, identifying operational issues and recommending appropriate corrective measures.
• Ensure all gas works comply with relevant health and safety requirements, industry regulations, British Standards and Approved Codes of Practice.
• Attend reactive repair tasks allocated by planners and complete works within the required timeframes.
• Carry out fault diagnosis and complete repairs within the relevant trade area.
• Complete installation, maintenance and remedial works to a high standard.
• Communicate effectively with customers to establish expectations and ensure works meet their requirements.
• Liaise with clients throughout works to ensure issues are resolved and customer satisfaction is maintained.
• Complete all relevant paperwork, documentation and certification accurately.

Requirements

• Level 3 qualification, where possible.
• 18th Edition, where possible.
• PASMA or IPAF, where possible.
• Enhanced DBS required.
• Strong understanding of gas health and safety requirements, British Standards and relevant Approved Codes of Practice.
• Experience diagnosing faults and carrying out reactive repairs.
• Good knowledge of associated commercial pipework, components and fittings.
• Full and valid UK driving licence.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and complete reactive works within required timescales.
