We are working with a successful broking group looking to welcome a Commercial Account Handler to its Coventry team.

You will help manage a varied portfolio of existing commercial insurance clients, working closely with an Account Director and an experienced broking team.

Your focus will be on understanding clients’ businesses, responding to their insurance needs and providing a reliable, personal service throughout the policy lifecycle.

You will join a supportive office led by knowledgeable insurance professionals, giving you the opportunity to build your technical expertise and take the next step in your career.

• Handling day-to-day enquiries from existing commercial clients.

• Supporting renewals, policy amendments and mid-term adjustments.

• Understanding clients’ requirements and helping ensure their cover remains appropriate.

• Liaising with insurers to obtain quotations and negotiate terms.

• Preparing and checking policy documentation and maintaining accurate client records.

• Working closely with the Account Director and wider team to deliver a consistent service.

• Building strong relationships with clients, insurers and colleagues.

• Identifying changes in clients’ needs and opportunities to provide additional support.

You will need to have at least one year’s commercial insurance experience, along with a proactive approach and a commitment to putting clients first.

Candidates from personal lines who are keen to move into commercial insurance may also be considered.

You will bring:

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

• Good organisation and attention to detail.

• The ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively.

• A willingness to develop your insurance knowledge and progress professionally.

• Ideally, Cert CII, or an interest in studying towards the qualification.

• Experience using Acturis would be useful, but is not essential.

Alongside a salary of £30,000–£38,000, depending on experience, plus bonus, you will receive:

• 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays.

• Flexitime, with working patterns of 8am–4pm, 9am–5pm or 10am–6pm, Monday to Friday.
