Caretaker / Key Holder

Pay Rate: £13.94 per hour
Contract: Full Time, Temporary Ongoing

About the Role: We are seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker / Key Holder to join our team in Solihull on a full-time, temporary ongoing basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced caretaker or maintenance professional to play a key role in ensuring facilities remain secure, safe, and well-maintained.

The successful candidate will be responsible for opening and securing buildings, responding to maintenance issues, carrying out minor repairs, and acting as a trusted key holder.

Key Responsibilities

• Open and lock up facilities in line with operational requirements.
  
  
• Act as a designated key holder, ensuring buildings are secure at all times.
  
  
• Carry out routine inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
  
  
• Respond promptly to maintenance calls and repair requests.
  
  
• Undertake minor repairs and general maintenance duties.
  
  
• Liaise with contractors and other service providers as required.
  
  
• Maintain high standards of health and safety across the site.
  
  
• Ensure facilities remain clean, safe, and operational.
  
  
• Report any safeguarding, security, or maintenance issues to management.
  
  

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience in a caretaker, maintenance, facilities, or similar role.
  
  
• Ability to carry out basic repairs and maintenance tasks.
  
  
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
  
  
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  
  
• Reliable, trustworthy, and capable of working independently.
  
  
• Flexible approach to working hours and site requirements.
  
  
• Applicants MUST hold a valid Enhanced DBS certificate. Applications without an Enhanced DBS will not be considered.
